After a long break we resumed our Munster League against Dolphin on Saturday.

With such a long break from competitive games and training, due to the weather, we were not at the level that we usually are which is understandable.

Although we started brightly and should have scored in the first couple of minutes but the final pass wasn't there.

But the pressure told and Sam knocked over a penalty to put us up 3-0.

They struck back with a converted try but now we were getting up to speed and replied with a great finish from Zach in the corner.

After a huge lineout maul from Dolphin they scored again to go ahead 8-14 at half time

We started the second half quickly and had a try in the corner from Sean

Again they came back but the defence was awesome not giving them anything and eventually clearing our lines.

We sorted the problems we had with their lineout maul and were well on top in the scrum getting a couple against the head and with that platform we scored 2 more trys from Oisin and Evan both converted by Sam.

A very soft yellow card gave them the opportunity against 14 with plenty of time left to reply but eventually after some great defence they got over for 7.

With us still a man down they started to get back up the field and got in in the corner ,due our great goal line defence, which made the conversion difficult and they missed to leave the score 27-26.

We got back to 15 and they went down to 14 and another penalty from Sam but it out to 4 to make the having to s ore a try but with us having the extra man saw it out to get a hard fought win.

This was a step up in opposition and we go another step up next weekend at home to Highfield(date and ko time TBC)
