We played our second development game of the season today,away to Youghal.

With only 2 days training as a team it was always going to be tough for this team to gel and be up to match speed from the start, and that's how it panned out with youghal keeping us in our own half for most of the first quarter with them actually scoring a try in their second attack.

As the half wore on we started to settle and did a little better but still weren't anywhere like we we know we can play and found ourselves 15-0 down with 10 mins left to half time.

We eventually got a foothold and played some good rugby and were unlucky not to score with Fionn in the corner after a great move.

By all accounts he definitely got the touch down but the TMO was off today so no try and ended the half 15-0

After a few words of encouragement,at the half time talk,and now settling in much better after 30 mins of tough rugby we started the second half on fire with 2 quick fire tries from Zach and Oisin with Sammy add the extras.

Big carries from Rhys,Adam,Eoghan and Ben kept us well on top with Fionn getting on the scoreboard twice,first one following a great kick through from Justin, to make up for the first half disallowed try.

Zach and Oisin also added a couple each with Rhys going over in as well.

Sammy had a great day off the kicking tee missing just the 1 conversion to make the final score 15-47.

These games are very important to give all the panel game time,and to try lads in different positions, so we'll have more options going forward.

Lot of lads put their hand up today to stake a claim for a starting place the next day when we play in the Pan Munster Cup competition in the next couple of weeks
